Highest Standards of Care

The Adler Family Centre combines high standards with an unparalleled dedication and commitment to its clients. In the treatment of a child, adolescent, adult, family or couple, we are highly skilled in developing a complete understanding of the relevant psychological issues.

We also are highly proficient in a wide range of therapeutic techniques. Whereas many other psychologists and counsellors are trained in and use a single approach, we carefully consider the full range of treatments and use the ones most appropriate for the client.

As an expert in evaluating children and teenagers, Dr. Adler also maintains high standards when conducting psychoeducational and autism assessments and child custody evaluations. He collaborates closely with those who refer the child. In particular, he works diligently to obtain all the information needed to develop a thorough understanding of the problems or issues. He also uses the most recent “gold standard” tests to best describe, interpret, draw conclusions and make recommendations that can be easily and successfully implemented. Moreover, unlike many other psychologists working for clinics, Dr. Adler conducts the entire evaluation himself, rather than delegate tasks to assistants. As such, his familiarity with the client , and the family, allows him to more accurately draw valid conclusions and make more helpful recommendations.

Additionally, we have extensive experience making presentations and conducting workshops for schools (kindergarten through high school) and other organisations on topics that are of interest to parents, students and teachers. We also provide short-term and ongoing supervision to counsellors and others working at schools.
