Dr. Adler conducted a workshop on 1st December 2018 at Sunshine House International Preschool in Tung Chung. About 50 parents and teachers attended and participated in this highly interactive workshop on helping toddlers and preschoolers develop improved coping skills to manage negative feelings. Dr. Adler described several effective techniques parents can use to teach their child to develop these skills including modeling, praising and scaffolding. Parents were highly engaged, asking thoughtful questions about their children’s difficulties in controlling the expression of negative feelings.
Dr. Adler is available to conduct this workshop, as well as others, for parents of children in both kindergarten and primary school.
